You babies

So when I was in college, we would go to this bar Mellagio's every Thursday. One of my friends knew the manager, and besides they had $1 Dos Equis (or as it is known in Mexico, "Two X.") The cheap beers tempted me to drink too much at least once.

The next night, all my friends are drinking. Although I don't feel like drinking, this is fine since I can be the designated driver this night. So everyone else is doing tequila shots before we go out. A whiff of the liquor only reinforces my decision not to drink (incidentally, it is this same bad experience that prevents me from drinking tequila to this day).

The ride out to the party is fine, even amusing: everyone is acting like children. Their antics ceased to be as funny once we got to the club. My roommate got mad at his girlfriend for one reason or another, and ran off on his own. She started crying, and now I'm so busy trying to pacify everyone that I can't even enjoy myself. Herding them back to the car wasn't any fun, either. This is how I came to the resolution that it sucks to be the only sober person. Not only that, but I also made the resolution that I would never again be the only sober person. Although this often leads me to drive home drunk, I don't regret my choice.

Which leads me to my next point: how do people get DUI's? I've been pulled over drunk by a cop before, but I've never had my license suspended. I can tell you what: the only thing that sobers you up more than video games is getting pulled over. I can't say the alphabet backwards sober, but when a policeman pulls me out of my car and starts flashing a light in my face I can.
